ARTIST STATEMENT

There was a ball.



Every kid wanted to play with it.

Everyday, kids ran to the ball wanting to be the first person to get it.

​

There was a girl.



She believed that the ball was magical because everyone wanted to have it.
Everyday, she ran to the ball wanting to be the first person to get it.

​

One day, she ran to the ball before other kids started to run.
She became the first kid to get the ball.
She was so excited and started to play with it.

​

However, she quickly got bored of playing with the ball.
She was confused.
 

Why?

​

She realized that all kids want to have it
not because it was magical.
 

They enjoyed playing with it
because there were other kids to play with.

​

Connections with other people make it a magical ball.

​

My art is a ball.

​

I create art to make connections with the audience.
You are the person who play with me through my art.

​

You are the art for me.
